Spare Tire Locks
A spare tire lock was used on Corvettes beginning with the 1963 model year and ending with the 1979 model year. Five unique styles (see photo) of Corvette spare tire locks exist. All versions of the Corvette spare tire lock have been discontinued by GM. The only option for a 100% correct lock is a used or NOS lock. All reproduction tire locks currently sold by the Corvette catalog companies are detectably different from original GM locks, so I suggest that you not waste your money on a repro lock that is unlikely to pass muster with the judges.
